Corali miniati nel Veneto (sec. XIV): immagini, testo e musica

The research will continue to investigate the Choir Books illuminated in Veneto in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. It will take into consideration the historial, artistic, liturgical and music features of the codices and the people who commissioned them. The aim of the research is to publish a comprehensive catalogue with a CD-ROM of the series of Choir Books produced in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries for the Cathedral of Padua (Graduals), the Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua, the Collegiate Church of Monselice, the Santi Quaranta monastery in Treviso, now kept in these Chapter libraries and in the Biblioteca Antoniana of Padua.

Obiettivi

The project intends to finally publish a complete catalogue about the Choir books’ series executed for the Cathedral and the Basilica of Saint Anthony in Padua, the Collegiate church in Monselice, and the Santi Quaranta monastery in Treviso including the CD-ROM with the photos. Moreover, the body of information will be arranged and made available in a digital archive of liturgical-music imagery in Veneto at the Dipartimento di Storia delle arti visive e della musica at Padua University.
